Former Western Australian television presenter Stephanie Quinlan has died at the age of 74.
Quinlan’s TV career began in the mid-1960s on programs including Shopping Guide and Televisit.
She later hosted her own morning show, The Today Show, for Perth’s TVW7 in the 1970s and early 1980s, winning a TV Week Logie Award in 1979 for Most Popular Female Personality in Western Australia.
She then became a local fashion identity as a mentor and promoter, and was one of the first to cast Megan Gale for a runway presentation.
A private memorial for Stephanie Quinlan was held in Perth last week.

The sad passing of a lady that was not only beautiful of looks, but heart also. Thank you Stephanie. You will be missed, but remembered with laughter
Sad to here of Stephanie’s passing, in 1968 I attended her Deportment Classes and had a wonderful passing out parade modelling our creations at one of the old Hotel’s in Perth.
Stephanie wouldn’t have know it but she aided me in being accepted with Ansett Airlines in 1971, as walking with books on our head and gaining an insight into how to wear fashion stood me in good stead.
I was working at the time for Wapet and my work colleague Lynn McClements now MacKenzie joined me for the course.
Wonderful memories,
Thank you Stephanie RIP
My daughter is named after her. Same school, same name, but a science degree.
My mother was Stephanie’s hairdresser for more than thirty years. Stephanie was a beautiful person and good friend to my mother. I will always will remember Stephanie’s laugh. She was absolutely divine ✨️ Rest in Peace Stephanie.
