Bert Newton hosts the annual TV Week Logie Awards from the Hilton Hotel, Melbourne.

The Ten Network’s ill-fated soap opera Arcade was listed to appear but in reality had been pulled from the schedule at the end of February. It was replaced by repeats of Hogan’s Heroes pending the expansion of Eyewitness News to a one-hour bulletin.
