The debut of GTV9’s new live variety program In Melbourne Tonight, hosted by Graham Kennedy. The program would end up dominating Melbourne television for over 13 years and 3000 episodes and made Kennedy a TV legend to the point that he was later dubbed the King of Australian Television.
