After 56 years broadcasting from 202 Tynte Street, North Adelaide, NWS Nine has today officially launched its new premises at 169 Pirie Street in the Adelaide CBD.
Nine News presented its last bulletin from Tynte Street on Friday. A special report paid tribute to the historic studios and the memories that have come from over 56 years of television.

Tonight’s bulletin gave viewers a peek at some of the behind-the-scenes activity at the new 169 Pirie Street studios. While boasting the most modern news production facility for the network, murals and displays through the corridors serve as a prominent reminder of where NWS had come from over the past 56 years.
All three of Adelaide’s commercial television stations have now moved from their original heritage locations. SAS Seven moved from Gilberton to Hindmarsh in 2007, while ADS Ten moved from its original North Adelaide site to Hutt Street, just a few blocks away from Nine’s new premises.
