The first day of colour test programming, as permitted by the Australian Broadcasting Control Board, with colour programs as indicated.

ABN2 sneaks in ahead of the commercial channels by switching to colour at midnight with a snooker telecast.

The official changeover to full-time colour transmission followed on 1 March 1975.
