SBS will use its coverage of the FIFA World Cup to launch its new branding slogan, ‘Join In’.
The new slogan replaces ‘Seven Billion Stories’ which originally launched as ‘Six Billion Stories’ in 2008.
The new network promo features SBS employees and personalities with the message that in this culturally diverse society we should appreciate our differences — “for without our differences, we wouldn’t be the same.”
The ‘Join In’ promotion was created by agency Joy in partnership with SBS and will be first broadcast on SBS One during the Australia versus Chile match in the FIFA World Cup early on Saturday morning (Australian time).

It’s about time SBS ditched that wildly inaccurate claim. They hadn’t even got to the first billion, let alone 7 billion!! 1 Billion = 1 million, million, or 1 million(squared – 1 million multiplied on itself) or 1,000,000,000,000!(1 with twelve zeros after it!)
and that’s why SBS was originally established to broadcast multicultural programs and movies
