New Year’s Eve is celebrated with concert specials on all four networks but two stand out.

GTV9 has a highlights package of the 2SM/Moove Concert Of The Decade which was held outside the Sydney Opera House the previous month.  Performers included Sherbet, Skyhooks, Hush, Dragon, Max Merritt, Marcia Hines, Russell Morris, Ted Mulry Gang, Jon English, Ol ’55, Stevie Wright, Colleen Hewett and Doug Parkinson.

ATV0 has live coverage of the Festival Of Sydney New Year’s Eve Concert from the Sydney Opera House, hosted by Grahame Bond and including performances by Rolf Harris, Marcia Hines, Jon English, John St Peeters and The Angels.
