The first day following the aggregation overnight of Tasmania’s two separate commercial TV markets, previously served by Tas TV in the south and Southern Cross in the north. From 12.00am on 30 April 1994, the two stations expanded into each others’ markets, giving viewers a choice of two commercial channels for the first time. Tas TV (TVT) aligned to the Nine Network for programming, and Southern Cross (TNT) with the Seven and Ten networks.
