Thursday 26 May 1988 — SOUTH AUSTRALIA

The debut of Network Ten’s big-budget current affairs show Page One. The program aimed to present a compromise between the populist 60 Minutes (on Nine) and ABC’s investigative Four Corners. It included a number of reporters poached from ABC.

Page One failed to make significant inroads and was re-launched as Public Eye in mid-1989. It was axed shortly after.
