The debut of the Seven Network historical epic Against The Wind, one of the first big-budget mini-series to be made in Australia. The 13-part saga cost $1 million to produce and was a ratings hit.
On a smaller scale, ABC launches a new six-part drama, Run From The Morning, a mystery thriller starring Michael Aitkens, Bud Tingwell, Rod Mullinar and Bill Kerr.
