HSV7 screens the special The Seekers Down Under, featuring the famous Australian pop music group that had become a huge hit in Australia and overseas. Australian television was still in black and white, but this program was filmed in colour for overseas sales.

The Seekers Down Under achieved a rating of 66 (per cent of households) on its Melbourne airing, ranking it as one of the highest rating TV specials in Australia in the 20th century.
