ABC debuts Target, a youth-focused lifestyle magazine program.
ATV0 launches a revamp of its early-evening line-up, with Eyewitness News moving from 6pm to 6.30 and promoting weekend news anchor Bruce Mansfield. And the 0-10 Network’s new current affairs program, 24 Hours with John Bailey, makes its debut as a competitor to Nine’s A Current Affair. The network’s news and current affairs revamp is the product of former A Current Affair host and producer Mike Willesee, recruited by the 0-10 Network.
Meanwhile, GTV9 debuts newsreader Peter Hitchener, recently transferred from TCN9, Sydney. Hitchener had also hosted game show Gambit, which had been recently axed but remaining episodes continue to air on Nine in daytime.
