The Bicentennial year is launched with Australia Live, a four-hour live telecast from over 70 locations around the country. Produced in partnership and screened simultaneously on ABC, SBS, Nine Network and regional television stations.

NTD8 broadcasts the program live, while ABD6 is scheduled to delay coverage to 7.30 local time.
