Long-running soap Home And Away has topped a poll of Studio 10 viewers and TV Week readers for their Top 25 shows of all time.
The show’s overall ranking is reflective of its overall popularity across multiple generations and is still a strong ratings performer for Seven after almost 26 years.
Other Australian shows to make the list were mostly dramas, such as Offspring (#3), McLeod’s Daughters (#5), Blue Heelers (#6) and Neighbours (#10), although reality giant Big Brother ranked 12th and sitcom Kath And Kim just made the list at number 22.
In counting down the Top 25 shows Neighbours star Stefan Dennis was Studio 10‘s guest panelist and there were interviews with Offspring stars Kat Stewart and Richard Davies, A Country Practice favourite Joan Sydney and Home And Away original cast member Alex Papps (pictured on the cover of TV Week in January 1989).
