TV Week has announced its nominations for the 66th TV Week Logie Awards, to be presented on 16 August and broadcast on the Seven Network.
Nominees for the Gold Logie are Ally Langdon and Todd Woodbridge from the Nine Network, Julia Morris, Poh Ling Yeow and this year’s Logies host Robert Irwin from Network Ten, Lisa Millar from ABC and previous Logies host Sam Pang representing both Seven and Ten.
There are multiple nominations for various dramas this year including Goolagong, Mystery Road: Origin, The Narrow Road to the Deep North, Dear Life, The Family Next Door, The Survivors and comedies Deadloch, Dog Park, Ghosts Australia and Austin.
There is something of a snub towards Home And Away, despite this year being in its 39th season and still commanding strong numbers for Seven and generous coverage in TV Week. It has not received a single nomination despite two wins for now former cast member Lynne McGranger last year.
This year will also introduce a new award — Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter — which, coincidentally, could end up being won by McAvaney himself. The naming of the award in his honour joins other awards named after Bert Newton, Graham Kennedy and Ray Martin.
Still to be announced is the recipient of this year’s TV Week Logie Awards Hall Of Fame.
TV’s man of the moment, Robert Irwin, is a surprising choice of host this year, following Sam Pang deciding to call it a day after three years.
The list of nominations continue to be derived from a discreet process between event organisers and the networks with input from TV Week. From the shortlist of nominations, the public can vote for the winners via the Logies’ website: tvweeklogies.com.au. Voting closes 7:00pm AEST, 15 August 2026.
