Friday 19 November 1982 — SYDNEY

ABC debuts its new drama series MPSIB (Missing Persons Special Investigation Branch). The police drama starred former Prisoner actors (and then husband-and-wife) Barry Quin and Peta Toppano, and Mike Preston (In Melbourne Tonight, Homicide, Bellbird, Punishment).

Ten has a delayed telecast of the Miss World beauty pageant from the Royal Albert Hall in London. Australia’s entrant in the contest was Catherine Anne Morris from Sydney.
