Nine’s big-budget current affairs gamble 60 Minutes makes its debut. Featuring reporters Ray Martin, George Negus and Ian Leslie, 60 Minutes got off to a slow start in the ratings but soon built up to become one of Nine’s flagship properties in the decades to follow.
