Yes, sad to read of those who passed. Memories of them on our screens in programs we miss today.
Must say the ABC TV last night was great with such a fantastic Countdown Special and the Fireworks on the Harbour – Sydney knows how to do it and my memories in the 50 and 60’s is watching from my grandfather’s harbourside home – seeing it ‘live’ and also the Yachts leaving on the 26th. Since coming south to Tassie, only regret is missing these events ‘live’ – congratulations to the camera crews on the organisation to bring it into our homes.
